Rat Run: The Great Escape is provided by Digital Flux Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”). Digital Flux Ltd is the data controller for information you choose to send to the game’s support team.
Information handled by Rat Run: The Great Escape
Rat Run: The Great Escape does not operate developer-controlled game servers and does not collect information from the app for advertising, marketing, analytics or tracking.
The app stores the following information locally on the iPhone:
- best Classic and Daily distance;
- Music, Sound, Haptics, Motion and optional Daily reminder preferences;
- aggregate progress such as runs, walls, cheese, hazards, play time, distance and Daily attempts;
- your selected cosmetic rat;
- recent run identifiers used to prevent duplicate score processing; and
- Game Center player namespaces, pending scores and achievement progress used to retry interrupted submissions safely.
This information stays on the device except for the scores and achievement progress sent to Apple when Game Center is available. Deleting the app removes the local copy; it does not remove information already held in Game Center.
Game Center
Rat Run: The Great Escape uses Apple Game Center for its optional Classic and Daily leaderboards and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center, the app asks Apple to authenticate your Game Center account, sends eligible distance scores and achievement progress to Apple, and retrieves leaderboard, rank and achievement information from Apple.
Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms. Digital Flux Ltd does not receive a separate copy of your Game Center account, score or achievement data on a developer-operated server and does not use it for advertising, tracking or analytics. You can play the complete game offline or while signed out; your device BEST still works locally. Game Center sign-in and privacy choices can be managed in iPhone Settings.
Advertising and tracking
Rat Run: The Great Escape contains no advertising, third-party analytics SDK or tracking technology. It does not request the advertising identifier and does not track activity across other companies’ apps or websites.
Device permissions and accessibility settings
Rat Run: The Great Escape does not request access to location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health information or Bluetooth. It can read the iPhone Reduce Motion preference locally to select a suitable visual-motion mode. That preference is not sent to us.
Daily Sewer reminders are optional and off by default. The app requests notification permission only if you enable a reminder, then asks iOS to schedule it locally at your chosen time. Rat Run has no developer-operated push server, and Digital Flux Ltd does not receive your notification preference or delivery activity. Permission can be changed in iPhone Settings.
Support enquiries
If you contact support by email, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond, resolve the enquiry, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations. Our legal bases are performance of the support service, legitimate interests in resolving problems and legal obligation where applicable.
Support information is kept only while it is reasonably needed for those purposes, including any necessary legal record, then deleted or anonymised. You may request access, correction or deletion by using the contact address below.
Website hosting
These pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details and access logs, to deliver and secure the website. That processing is governed by GitHub’s privacy statement. This site uses no analytics scripts, advertising, cookies set by Digital Flux Ltd or contact form.
Children
Rat Run: The Great Escape does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Optional Game Center use is controlled by Apple ID, family and device settings. A parent or guardian can contact us about a support message sent by a child.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information in a support enquiry, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We may update this policy if the game’s features, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
